SOLVE THE MONDEGREEN
[Created in honour of my long-time US friend John Cowles]
The term 'mondegreen' for a misunderstanding of a ballad text comes from the line ' They hae slain the Earl o Moray and laid him on the green' being heard as 'They hae slain the Earl O Moray and Lady Mondegreen'.
Goldstein's handwriting on the boxes of his reels challenged Ole Miss students. They did their best, though some tracks were 'indecipherable'. To see 'correct' song title hold down left mouse button and pass your cursor to the right of each **.
